| This is a truly comprehensive overview of Australia for those who have enough time to devote to exploring the well-known highlights as well as some less famous areas. Start in Sydney where you will be treated to a private introductory tour of the city, a cruise on the Harbour, and a full day outing to the beautiful Blue Mountains. Fly south to the island of Tasmania, with its wet wooded wilderness and stunning landscape, to explore Cradle Mountain, Freycinet National Park, and Hobart. From Tasmania, explore Kangaroo Island before returning to the mainland to discover Adelaide. After exploring the south, head west to Perth, a relaxed ocean town that feels entirely different from any other Australian city; explore it on a day tour before setting out the following day by self-drive to Margaret River, where you will enjoy some time at leisure among nearby wineries. Finally, make your way to Broome for three nights on the beach before heading to mythic Ayers Rock and the Olgas. From Ayers Rock, head north to Cairns and on to Mossman for a relaxing four-night stay in the rainforest. From this base, snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, explore the lively activity of the rainforest, and walk in the sand of pristine Cape Tribulation before returning to Cairns to catch your departing flight. | |||
