| Santiago, Puerto Varas, Peulla, Torres del Paine National Park | |||
| This program offers an in-depth experience in Patagonia, arguably one of the world's most beautiful regions. Begin with comprehensive touring in Santiago, where touring highlights include visits to the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art; La Moneda, where the current seat of government is located; and San Cristobal Hill, where a panoramic view of the city and the snow-capped Andes awaits. Take a day excursion to the beach resort of Viņa del Mar and the historic port city of Valparaiso, where you'll take a funicular ride to see the view from the cerros (hills) and, on another daytrip, visit the famous wine region. From Santiago, travel to Puerto Varas in the heart of the beautiful Lake District, where snow-capped volcanoes, ancient forests, and deep blue lakes create a magical landscape. The following morning journey across All Saints Lake to the tiny mountain retreat of Peulla. The next day, fly to Punta Arenas, where you'll transfer by road to Torres del Paine National Park, home to the jagged peaks known as "Cuernos del Paine" and other natural wonders, like the icy Grey Glacier. Spend four nights enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback-riding, bird watching and much more. Conclude the trip with one night in Santiago, where you'll have some time at leisure with a guide and driver at your disposal for some last minute touring or shopping before your international departure flight. | |||
