| This comprehensive program showcases the full spectrum of Ethiopia's magnificent natural landscape and intriguing cultural history. Overnight in Addis Ababa before flying to Lalibela for two nights; this city's rock-hewn churches are some of Christianity's most beautiful places of worship. Fly next to Gondar, where imposing castles once welcomed ambassadors of the Moghul and Ottoman Empires. Visit Gondar's church to inspect the stunning painted angels that illustrate the ceiling. The drive to Bahir Dar winds through a dramatic volcanic landscape en route to the traditional heartland of the Amharic people. Spend two nights in Bahir Dar, the base for exploring the monasteries of Lake Tana and visiting the Blue Nile Falls. Fly to Addis Ababa, and then travel south to Nazareth, through Rift Valley National Park. This region is home to some of Ethiopia's most striking scenery and a wealth of bird life. Spend a night in Nazareth before heading to Goba for two nights; from here, explore the Sanetti Plateau and the Bale Mountains National Park, with its unique indigenous flora and fauna.
