| The perfect way to see Ladakh for the first time, this two-week tour combines the remote Himalayan region with more familiar areas of India: Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Start with two nights in Delhi, where privately guided touring will introduce you to the sights and sounds of this thriving city. From Delhi, fly to Leh and begin exploring Ladakh. Take a day trip to the Hemis Monastery, the best-known and biggest gompa in Ladakh. Drive next to Lamayuru, where the spectacularly picturesque (and believed to be oldest) monastery will take your breath away. The next day, visit Ridzong Monastery and return to Uleytopko for the drive to Alchi Monastery. Return to Leh and spend a full day exploring the Stok Palace and Choglamsar, the largest settlement of Tibetan refugees in Ladakh. Leave Ladakh and fly to Agra via Delhi; in Agra, stay at the deluxe Amar Vilas and indulge in a spa treatment for your tired muscles. See the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort before heading to Jaipur, where you will stay at the Raj Vilas and visit Amber Fort, among other attractions.
