Perfect for those with about a week to spend in Japan, this excursion captures the most interesting sights in Tokyo and Kyoto. Begin with a three-night stay in Tokyo, where flexible private touring introduces you to the city’s main temples, shrines, and museums in the Shibuya, Harajuku, and Ginza districts. A day is intentionally left at leisure to give you time to explore the city independently. From Tokyo, travel by bullet train to Kyoto, where highlights include Ryoanji temple, Nijo-jo Castle, the Kinkakuji Golden Pavilion, Sanjusangen-do Temple and its 1001 Buddhist statues, the Kiyomizu temple overlooking Kyoto, and the Ginkakuji Temple. There will also be a special excursion to Nara to see the deer that roam through the city park and a free day to explore Kyoto independently. |
