This itinerary begins in Auckland where you board a yacht for a relaxing sail down the Auckland Harbour. Depart on your self-drive to Matakana, a journey that takes you along the spectacular Pacific Ocean through the beautiful countryside. Spend a full day at leisure exploring this area home to a diverse range of artists and boutique wine estates. Drive to Paihia, a beautiful resort town known as the ‘Jewel of the Bay of Islands.’ Board a ferry to Russell Township, where you will spend a full day exploring this historical and colorful town. Enjoy a scenic flight to Cape Reinga where you will enjoy a full day 4WD tour. Next, visit Rotorua, known for its hot springs and geysers; in addition to its natural beauty, Rotorua is considered the seat of traditional Maori culture.
